Problem:
How to FlexApp Snagit and capture the Snagit Printer
Possible Resolution(s):
- Copy the Snagit installer to the desktop
- Log into the FlexApp Packaging console
- Click red "Create" button to create a new FlexApp, then fill in the required fields. Then click blue "Create" button on the bottom right.
- Run the Snagit installer as an administrator. Once the installation has completed, click "Finish" then "Save", then select the icon of your choice.
- Click the edit icon/button next to the package and then "OK"
- Open C:\Windows\Temp\ then open the drive which will look like this
- Next, open the folder inside of the drive and navigate to ... Volumes\C\Program Files .. and copy the TechSmith folder and save it to the desktop.
- Click "Cancel" and close the FlexApp Packaging Console.
- Run SnagitPI64.exe to install the printer. It is located in the copied TechSmith\Snagit(...)\ folder on the desktop. Once installed, the printer will be visible in the Print Management.
- Open Print Management and delete the Snagit Printer
- Open the FlexApp Packaging Console and select the extend icon/button for the package. Click "Start"
- Run SnagitPI64.exe again from the TechSmith folder located on your desktop. This time DO NOT remove the printer. Instead click "Finish" in the packager. The Snagit printer should disappear.
- Click "Save" and then "OK", and the package is ready. You can replay the package to see the Snagit application and printer.
