Why aren't Google Workspace credentials roaming in Chrome? How do I persist them across sessions?

This article explains how to persist Google Workspace credentials in Google Chrome across sessions using ProfileDisk or, if ProfileDisk is not in use, a ProfileUnity Portability ruleset.

Problem

Google Workspace credentials are not roaming across Chrome sessions.

Resolution

Option 1: ProfileDisk

Ensure ProfileDisk is in place to persist Google Workspace credentials across sessions.

Option 2: Portability

If ProfileDisk is not in use, persist the credentials with a Portability ruleset.

1. In the ProfileUnity Management Console, go to Portability Management and create a ruleset that includes %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*.
2. Under Configuration Management, open your configuration and go to the Portability Settings module.
3. Click Create in the top right, then assign the ruleset created in step 1.
4. Update and deploy the configuration.
