Problem:
You need to run a post sync script to start the Connector ID services on Horizon View pools, see Appendix B: Embedding Connector ID Keys in VMware Horizon View Master Images here:
The Horizon Post Synchronization Script is not running or Instant Clones is pool failing to provision with error:
Instant Clone agent initialization state error (19): Failed to execute postsync script
Possible resolution:
Upgrade your Connector ID to version 6.5.1+, there is no need for a master image prep or post sync script in later versions.
If you are running 6.1.5 or earlier:
Horizon View copies the post-sync script to C:\Windows\Temp\ before it is executed. Depending on the version of Horizon, the copy may fail and the script will not run. To work around, manually copy the both VMwareInstantClones_PostSyncScript.bat and VMWareView_PostSyncScript-Worker.bat to C:\Windows\Temp\ and C:\Windows\Temp\VMware on the master image before snapshotting. If you still get the error, try using C:\Windows\Temp\VMWareView_PostSyncScript-Worker.bat as the post-sync script within Horizon and recompose.
If you are getting a timeout error on provisioning, increasing that value in the registry may resolve it: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon/2006/virtual-desktops/GUID-5EBD194C-EDC5-47F7-AD3C-D8A9559253A8.html
