Problem:
"Application Data - 6.7 - Windows Settings" Portability file grows in size exponentially when Microsoft Teams are used on the VDI machine.
Persistent machines - Long Logoffs
Non persistent machines (without profiledisk) - Long logons
Resolution:
In ProfileUnity console, go to "Portability Settings" edit "Application Data - 6.7 - Windows Settings" ruleset and add following Filesystem Rules:
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Application Cache
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Cache
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Cache
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\blob_storage
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\databases
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Indexeddb
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Local Storage
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\tmp
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\CacheStorage
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\ScriptCache
Exclude Application Data Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\ScriptCache
Example:
Save, go to "Configuration Management" and download/deploy the new updated configuration (ini) to profileunity share on your network.
VDI user should: Logoff>Logon>Logoff and the file should shrink in size.
