Problem:
After selecting logoff on citrix or terminal server session the connection will stay active until logoff scripts finish running.
Description:
After logoff windows session may appear hung with start menu open unresponsive or black screen showing while logoff scripts are running in the background.
Resolution:
This does not stops the logoff or any of the logoff processes it only disconnects session so the user is not stuck with the connected session. The user should not immediately try to log back in as the logoff processes might be still running.
Go to ProfileUnity Console and edit ProfleUnity configuration.
- Go to "User Defined Scripts"
- Add User Defined Script Rule
- Description: To close Remote Desktop Session
- Execute: "Before ProfileUnity at Logoff (Pre-Logoff)
- Type: Executable
- File: %systemroot%\system32\tsdiscon.exe
- Save the rule
- Select # in "Order" column and select #1 (This will make sure it runs first before any other script)
- "Update" the configuration and deploy to netlogon\ProfileUnity share
- or Select lightning button>Deploy INI)
