Problem:
After an upgrade to ProfileUnity 6.8, you are brought to a 500 error screen after logging into the Management Console.
This issue can occur if you have gone through the upgrade process
The URL on the 500 error page may also point to https://server:8000/#view/licensing.
Resolution:
- Rename profileunity.lic to profileunty.old in:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Liquidware Labs\ProfileUnity on the ProfileUnity console server
- In the deployment path, Usually \\domain\netlogon\profileunity
- Note: If this is production don't rename this file until:
- a) There is an Maintenance window and no users are logging in
- b) All your ProfileUnity client machines are on 6.8 version of client.
- restart the ProfileUnity service.
- If this is production and you need to rename the profileunity.old to profileunity.lic than before you do that change the "Peployment Path" and "Client Tools Path" to invalid path and select "Update"
Note: You will also need to update your clients to 6.8 once the ProfileUnity console is available.
Afterwards you should be able to log in and access the new licensing management page. From here you can update your license.
If there problem is not resolved please collect host log (C:\Program Files (x86)\Liquidware Labs\ProfileUnity\logs\profileunity.host.exe.log) from ProfileUnity server and send it to support@liquidwarelabs.com
