Problem:
Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Display text settings (100%,125%,150%) are not saving on non persistent vMware desktop with ProfileDisk attached.
Symptoms:
After changing the setting there is a prompt: "You must log off your computer to apply these changes" after selecting "Logoff now" and logging back in the setting is back to the old setting. The desktop connection is executed by running vMware view client. (PCoIp)
When the user logs back in to the desktop (after making a change is made earlier) using a console session, the text setting size is incorrect.
Resolution(s):
Option A)
Modify vMware View Agent GPO setting.
Setting:
- User Configuration>Policies>Administrative Templates>Agent Configuration>Policy:
- DPI synchronization = Enabled.
Option B)
Create ProfileUnity Registry rule:
- Filter: (Filter that would apply to users who are affected or No Filter)
- Description: Write Display Value Setting
- Action: Add Value
- Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Key: Control Panel\Desktop
- Type: REG_DWORD
- Value: LogPixels
- Data: 60
Options for "Data" field:
60- Small (100%)
78 - Medium (125%)
90 - Large (150%)
Save, Update the configuration and upload the configuration ini to the correct location.
Note: It may take two two logons to setting to take effect.
