Network Station boot error - Kernel Panic - not syncing: Fatal exception

Problem:  After fresh OVF deployment of a Stratusphere Network Station, the appliance fails to start with the error message. 

 

Symptoms: 

Kernel Panic - not syncing: Fatal exception

 

Possible Resolution:

 

  1. Delete NIC 2 and recreate as E1000 Type.
  2. Than reboot the appliance.
