Problem:
My machines are not communicating with my Stratusphere hub
Symptoms:
I am getting this error on all machines running Connector ID software.
This happens when there is a mismatch between the certificates of the Hub and the CID Key. When the CID Key sends information to the Hub, the Hub cannot decode this information based on the public/private key PKI infrastructure built into them. This happens because:
- The Hub was re-installed after the initial download and pushing of the CID Keys.
- The CID Keys were downloaded from a different Hub and are now pointing to a new Hub does cannot decode/decrypt the information from the CID Keys.
- This could occur also based on reusing the DNS based IP Address to a new IP Address but the certificates don’t match.
Possible Resolution(s):
Uninstall the existing CID Key and install the CID Key from the “production” hub on ALL desktop machines
