Problem:
Removing ProfileDisk form persistent desktops.
Resolution:
IMPORTANT: Please make sure to have you Portability setup to capture the data from your persistent desktops. before you attempt any of these steps. If your portability is disabled and you do not use any tool to capture the user directories deleting the profiles will permanently remove the profile's data from the machine.
This defect has been fixed in ProfileUnity 6.5.7 or later.
If Pu 6.5.7 or later:
Restart Physical Desktop and login with Local Administrator and delete the local profile which logged in with "ProfileDisk" settings in place.
Before ProfileUnity 6.5.7:
Before you follow the below instructions make sure to log in as a local administration that does not run ProfileUnity.
1. Remove the local profile(s) from the machine.
2. Remove the ProfileDisk drive from the system using Computer Management.
3. Remove the following keys

4. Remove the nodes
nodes.xml file holds profiledisk settings and it innitiates creation of the profiledisk. That file is tiplically locatated in netlogon\ProfileUnity folder (the client tools location).
