Description
Debug logging can be enabled for the ProfileUnity client. You can change the logging level from the ProfileUnity Management console.
- By default, ProfileUnity System logs will go to: "C:\Windows\Temp\ProfileUnity".
- By default, ProfileUnity user logs will go to: "%temp%\ProfileUnity"
How to enable Debug Logging:
- Click on Configuration Management in your ProfileUnity Management Console
- Edit the ProfileUnity configuration in use
- Select Main
- Select Change Client Log Settings
- Optional: Client Logging Filter - Selecting this option restricts logging of this script configuration to members of the filter specified.
- Change the Client Login Level to Debug
- Optional: Client Logging Path - Set this to a share. In most cases, this option is needed to troubleshoot logoff issues. Example: \\server\share\%username%\logs

- Once the changes have been made to the config click UPDATE in the upper right hand corner of the ProfileUnity console
- Re-deploy the configuration to your deployment share
Note: When writing to network share such as \\server\share\%username%\logs be sure user has rights to write to that network location.
