When you aren't using a ProfileUnity console to manage your FlexApp package inventory, you'll need to use "Offline Packaging Mode" on the FlexApp Packaging Console, or FPC. This allows you to store a "Packages.xml" file on a remote file-server, maybe where you store your packages, or on a local persistent disk of the FPC, etc. For simplicity, Liquidware recommends using the Windows file share where you are or will be storing your FlexApp and FlexApp One packages.
- Logon to your FlexApp packaging machine and open the FlexApp Packaging Console.
- Check the box for Offline Packaging Mode.
- The first field will change to ".\Packages.xml". Edit this path so that the file will reside on the same file share as your FlexApp packages. ie, \\server\share\FlexApps\Packages.xml and click the blue arrow to continue. You may be prompted for credentials, if needed, to access the file share.
- Answer any prompts you may get according to your preference and then you will be presented with your package inventory - or an empty list if you haven't yet created or imported any packages, both of which can be done using the red Create button and accompanying drop-down arrow.
Your inventory will automatically updated each time a package is added, changed or removed and will now persist between FPC machine snapshot refreshes, etc.
