ProfileUnity Web Console version 6.7 (or later) allows CAC (Common Access Card) security to be set up on the console as an additional layer of security for console access. However, if the initial certificate setup is not correct, or something else goes wrong with CAC authentication, the console could become inaccessible until the CAC security is disabled. This article explains how to disable CAC mode security on the console in such an event.
1) On the ProfileUnity Web Console machine, login to Windows with an Administrator account.
2) Stop the Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity Service in services.msc.
3) From an elevated cmd prompt, navigate to the ProfileUnity install directory (default: C:\Program Files\ProfileUnity\) and run the following command:
ProfileUnity.Host.exe /govmode:false
4) Start the Liquidware Labs Profileunity Service in services.msc.
Once these steps are complete, launch the ProfileUnity console login as normal, and CAC authentication will not be used, and access to the console will be restored.
