FlexApp version 6.8.5 includes many new enhancements and fixes in how we captures applications to help improve the capture process. In some cases you can use applications captured in 6.8.5 with 6.8.4R2 client tools. To do this you need to convert these back to a framework where 6.8.4R2 client tools can read them.
When converting 685 packages to use in 684, the main folder containing of the files for the package that was captured with 685 needs to be renamed to "2015-03-04UTC14-53-50-797-appdir-1" exactly. Steps shown below
Prereq: Be sure that the package isn't currently used within a ProfileUnity Configuration or Packaging Console
1) Go to the directory of package within Windows
2)Right click the vhdx image of the package and click Mount
3)Open Disk Management, this can be reached by right clicking the start menu and clicking Disk Management
4) Assign a drive letter to the drive of the package that needs to be converted. This can be done by right clicking the drive of the package and clicking Change Drive Letters and Paths, then click Add then assign a letter that isn't already used and click OK.
5) Go to the directory of the drive using File Explorer, right click the only folder within the drive, click rename, and rename it to "2015-03-04UTC14-53-50-797-appdir-1".
6)The vhdx is now 684 ready but be sure to eject the drive so it can be used. This can be done by going to This PC and right click the drive then clicking Eject.
